The criminalization of politics, the politics of criminalization and their paradoxes

The notion of the criminalization state is paradoxical. On one hand, idea that ‘absolute power corrupts absolutely’ might shed light on potentially criminal behaviour state-officials. other, assumption legal rules are general and anonymous, they apply identically to everybody (and allows defining these elites as criminals), in its contemporary form linked bureaucratic rule itself. In this commentary contributions special issue, I address other paradoxes with regard relation between politics criminality.
